The Atlas Of Beauty

The Atlas Of Beauty

Four years ago 31-year-old Romanian photographer Mihaela Noroc quit her job and started a new life travelling the world to document natural women surrounded by their culture. She wanted to photograph women from each country of the world, to show that beauty is everywhere.

Mihaela Noroc, a 31 years old photographer from Bucharest, Romania, spent most of her last 4 years traveling in different countries of the world.

The Atlas Of Beauty is a project about the planet’s diversity shown through portraits of women. Since almost 4 years ago, she travels around the world with her backpack and her camera. In her journey she photographs natural women surrounded by their environment. Until now she visited more than 50 countries with the project.

Today The Atlas of Beauty is one of the most popular photo projects in the world. It has strong communities on Facebook and Instagram while its Tumblr blog was the third most viral in 2015. When she started the project in 2013 she didn’t imagine that 3 years later she will talk about it live, on CNN, or on Oprah Winfrey’s Super Soul Sunday.

Wall Street Journal, The Guardian, Huffington Post, Business Insider, Forbes, BBC, Spiegel, Corriere della Sera are just a few other media outlets that featured the project and showed her photos to the world.

I'm a hardworking, simple guy and still looking at the world with a childlike wonder. I run, hikes, over-drink tea and coffee. I am a hardcore coder and I love to do that. And if I hadn't gone into coding, I probably would have gone into painting and cooking or investment banking. Being a Bengali, I eat a lot and love to play football. I am a big fan of world movies and a great admirer of Bergman, Kurosawa and Tarantino.
