Heart Of Terra

This story is about a young lad who grew with a belief that knowledge, honesty, kindness is all you require to achive the greatness. But the events he had gone through had shaken his belief. Now the opposite “Ignorence” will he choose to live with. As he is only one step away.

Knowledge is power…, Shawn had learn this in his early age, from his father, whom he looked up to as hero. A boy who wants to be just like his father. Shawn looked at his reflection on the clear blue water. He could almost see his dad. With every wave Shawn regretted his decision, and with every second his hate for his father, grows a bit.

Shawn could not remember how long he has been sitting on the white sand. Which glittered like diamond particles disseminated all over. Shawn closed his eyes in disappointment and rubbed his palm over the sand grains and released few drops of pain. That dry yet cold sand breath him life. Shawn stood up, the naked white beach extended far away. Bright as dream, at least it felt like one. He could see the vast plain of blue velvet, giving birth of small waves and dying before reaching the shore. The slow western breeze waft over him and the pleasant wind took away all the anger. The deep but soft rumbling sound of the ocean tranquilized him. Shawn rested there for some time allowing the island breeze to blow him away.

Sun is at his peak now. Shwan felt a burning sensation on his chic so he turned his head. The long range of palm trees created a boundary of wilderness. The forest behind looked at Shawn. He felt an uneasiness towards it. It is hard to resist the wild invitation. Shawn looked down, he can see his shadow now. He pulled out a thick paper folded. Shawn carefully unfolded the map, written “Heart of Earth”, one can barely grasp the impression of the used ink. His eyes glittered with joy like the morning sun lying on the serene sands of the island. He looked up again to find the colossal mountain and spotted the D shaped huge rock attached to the mountain. It was mile away from Shawn but he could prospect it’s gigantic appearance.

His men abandoned him, took away the wealth gained in years. But they do not know about the “Heart of Earth”. Shawn smiled, although it has a pain in it, a sorrow to lose own brothers over money. Shawn throw the map away. If you look at geographical location in a map based on the latitude and longitude and separate the land from the water. You will get one third of land and two third of water. On the center of the land Shawn found the map. Location for such wealth, a man could not imagine, Shawn and his people have heard about this legend. Every kids have. A story you listen by your mother or grandmother, If you don’t eat or sleep. The location for the wealth is in the centre of the ocean. If you pinpoint the location you will get the “Heart of Earth”. But to get to this point Shawn has lost many things, and sacrificed everything. “Does it worth it”- Shawn asked himself loudly. The hunger for knowledge, it costs him everything. I wish I would have known nothing. Shawn looked up in the sky and prayed.”Ignorance is a bliss” Shawn cried and moved towards the dense forest. Shawn walked inside his fate, where she lies. There she waited, the one he craved for.
